Manchester City and Chelsea have been fined by the FA for failing to control their players during a Premier League clash at the Etihad earlier this month.
sergio Aguero's rash challenge on David Luiz sparked a huge brawl between the two sets of players in the final minutes of Chelsea's 3-1 win away from home.
Aguero and Fernandinho were both sent-off for their part in the melee, while Cesc Fabregas and Nathaniel Chalobah were also booked by referee Anthony Taylor.
Manchester City have been slapped with a £35,000 fine for failing to control their players, while Chelsea will have to pay £100,000 for repeatedly breaching FA rules on player conduct.
The FA were thought to be considering a points deduction as punishment for the Blues, who were recently fined for failing to control their players against Tottenham at the end of last season.
An FA statement read: 'Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, Manchester City and Chelsea have been fined £35,000 and £100,000 respectively after both admitted a breach of FA Rule E20(a).
'The two clubs were charged for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour.
It followed an incident in the 95th minute of their game on Saturday 3 December 2016.'
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte laughed off suggestions of a points deduction earlier this week but the Italian will no doubt be relieved the see his side escape with just a fine.
The Blues have started the season in fine form and lead the Premier League by four points ahead of cross-city rivals Arsenal.
